National Lighthouse Day will be celebrated during the regularly scheduled — but enhanced — tour of the Piedras Blancas Light Station on Saturday, Aug. 6.
Guides and assistants will be in period attire and enactors will re-create scenes from the 1890s, depicting life at the light station.
The special tour is offered at the regular tour fee of $10 for adults, $5 for ages 6-17, and no fee for children 5 and under.
Tour takers should meet at the former Piedras Blancas Motel, north of the road to the lighthouse, at 9:45 a.m. to help celebrate National Lighthouse Day.
