Organizers are calling the 2010 the best ever. ‘It was fabulous,” said Mary Ann Carson, executive director of the sponsoring Cambria Chamber of Commerce. ‘We sold out, ran out of programs and wine glasses, so we had at least 500 people there. That’s what I call successful.’ Carson said the food-and-wine pairing at the kick-off dinner Jan. 29 drew praise. On Saturday, Jan. 30, six wineries provided tastings at the Cambria Historical Museum in East Village, while 23 wineries did the same at the Veterans Memorial Building. There were ‘lots of people in the shops,’ Carson said. Some shop owners reported doing ‘better business and there were more people out and about than on the same weekend last year … that was our focus, getting people to town in the off season.’ The festival continued through Sunday, Jan. 30.
