Applications are due Friday to fill positions on the Monterey Bay National Marine Sanctuary Advisory Council.
Three-year terms begin in the spring for representatives of: agriculture, business and industry, commercial fishing, research and conservation, and two at-large seats.
Representatives attend meetings every two months in communities along the sanctuary’s 276 miles of coastline from Cambria to Marin County.
The council, with 20 voting members, represents the public’s interests in sanctuary matters and provides advice to the sanctuary superintendent.
