Two fundraisers have been scheduled this month to benefit the Moon family.
Earl Moon fractured his cervical vertebrae and bruised his spine in a fall from a ladder and was undergoing rehabilitation in Southern California. The fundraisers are to defray medical and related costs.
Jan Moon has met with several people about the idea of remodeling their downstairs bathroom and driveway to accommodate a wheelchair.
A group of Jan Moon’s friends from the Succulent Cactus Society of San Luis Obispo will hold a plant sale fundraiser at Grow Nursery in Cambria on Oct. 17.

All proceeds from sales at benefit tables will go to the family, as will 25 percent of the nursery’s other sales that day. The nursery is at 2024 Main St. in the East Village, behind the Garden Shed.
A spaghetti feed fundraiser for the Moon family is planned for 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 21, at the Veterans Memorial Building.
The spaghetti dinner is $10 and available either for dine-in or drive-through. For more information, call Dianne Brooke at 927-4805.
