The Cambria Tourism Board’s “Outsiders Welcome” TV commercial earned a Silver Telly Award at the 36th annual ceremony this past week.
The Cambria entry was selected from among nearly 12,000 entries in 50 states and numerous countries. About 7 to 10 percent of entrants are chosen to receive awards.
The awards, founded in 1979, honor outstanding local, regional and cable TV commercials and programs, along with online commercials, film and videos.
“We’re thrilled to have been named as a Telly Award winner,” said Pragna Patel-Mueller, marketing chair of the Cambria Tourism Board. “The ‘Outsiders Welcome’ campaign was a great way to introduce visitors to all the various outdoor activities we have here in Cambria, and most importantly, to let each guest know they are welcome to our town.”
