Winning tickets will be drawn from 1 to 2 p.m.
Oct. 31 at the HART office. Winners need not be present. Cambria merchants, galleries and Guardian Angel supporters have donated prizes for the fundraiser.
HART was founded in 1983 by a core of volunteers who sponsored animals in their homes. The team formed a Guardian Angel Committee in 2011, specifically to raise funds for urgent medical expenses. The program is dedicated to caring for the most urgent cases that arrive at the shelter: animals with painful or debilitating conditions that require extensive medical care. Without treatment, many of the animals would need to be euthanized.
HART volunteers raised $1,600 for the Homeless Animal Rescue Team by participating in the PG&E Early Warning System annual siren test Aug. 22.
Each volunteer reported to a designated siren (at left), observed it when it went off and reported on its duration and condition. Monitors completed a questionnaire and submitted it to PG&E, which gave participants $80 each and provided a lunch at El Chorro Regional Park
