Good News about Coastal Dance and Music Academy and Cuesta College

Grover Beach

A $2,000 grant has been awarded to Coastal Dance and Music Academy in Grover Beach by the Foundation for the Performing Arts Center’s Clifton Swanson PAC Community Access Fund. The fund provides support for local performing arts groups’ use of the PAC.

The grant was used toward CDMA’s annual studio showcase, “Steppin’ Up,” which featured the academy’s students and members of Coastal Performing Arts Foundation, including Coastal Youth Chamber Ballet, Coastal Youth Theater and the Beyond Boundaries program for children with special needs.

Cuesta College

Cuesta College has announced that 485 student scholarships have been given for the 2016-17 academic year.

The college recently hosted nearly 300 donors and recipients at its 27th annual Scholarship Reception, disbursing $345,000 in funding to 273 students, with some receiving more than one scholarship.

The recipients included current students, incoming transfers and high school students who will attend Cuesta in the fall.
