Transitions-Mental Health Association has received an $8,000 grant from The Community Foundation San Luis Obispo County. The grant will be used to fund SLO Hotline — a 24-hour, free and confidential call center serving the entire county.
The program is devoted to calls that are categorized as suicide prevention, mental health crisis management, mental health information, education and referral.

The congregation of Peace Lutheran Church in Arroyo Grande recently bought Troop No. 41074’s remaining Girl Scout cookies for $500. This enabled the troop to proceed with all three of their planned service projects, and everyone who attended church that day got a box of cookies.
Quota International of Morro Bay has awarded three $1,000 scholarships to recent high school graduates. Ana Bibiano from Coast Union High School and Olivia Sianeros and Gerardo Bory, both from Morro Bay High School, are the recipients.
Bory received the Quota Memorial Scholarship.
Quota is an international service organization with a special emphasis on education.
