The grant will be used to fund transportation for San Luis Obispo County students attending this year’s School Matinee Program at the PAC. The program brings admission-free, high quality, performing arts to thousands of children every year.

About 100 children participated in a variety of activities including fishing, milking a cow to make butter, panning for gold, archery and target shooting. The kids were then treated to barbecued hot dogs and ice cream donated by Doc Burnstein’s Ice Cream Lab.
The kids, most of whom had never had an opportunity to experience an outdoor adventure, were taught about the protection and conservation of wildlife and natural resources.
