A multiagency effort helped stop a garage fire on a property in rural San Luis Obispo on Saturday night, according to Cal Fire.

Fire crews from Cal Fire, San Luis Obispo County and the city of San Luis Obispo responded to the blaze on the 600 block of Serpa Ranch Road at 8:42 p.m., Cal Fire said.

Cal Fire said the crews were able to put out the flames in about 14 minutes, and no one was trapped inside the garage.

No injuries have been reported.

As of 10 p.m. Saturday, firefighters were still at the scene completing “mop-up” duties to make sure the blaze was completely extinguished and the area was safe, Cal Fire said.

An estimated cost of the damage and information about the cause of the fire were unavailable late Sunday afternoon because of the ongoing investigation, Cal Fire Capt. Dave Kay said.
