Pismo Beach residents can provide police with feedback and participate in the Pismo Beach Police Department’s accreditation process Monday.
The department is being assessed by the Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies Inc., which will include an on-site evaluation and public information session. If the department is reaccredited, a process that takes place every three years, it will be awarded new credentials in November.
Residents and law enforcement professionals can provide comment at a public information session at 7 p.m. Monday at the Pismo Beach Council Chambers, 760 Mattie Road. Refreshments will be served at 6:30 p.m.
Anyone unable to attend can provide comments by phone from 2 to 4 p.m. Tuesday by calling 805-773-7047. Comments are limited to 10 minutes.
