A Friday afternoon fire in Paso Robles caused $8,000 in damage to a house on the city’s southwest side.

Fire crews responded about 3:40 p.m. to a residential structure fire on the 400 block of Morgan Lane, according to a news release from Paso Robles Department of Emergency Services. Firefighters found smoke coming from an attached garage that had been converted into a separate living space.
