Grover Beach police will host an informational fair Tuesday at Ramona Garden Park as part of National Night Out, an annual event designed to heighten awareness of crime and drug prevention and to support police-community partnerships.
The national event is sponsored by the National Association of Town Watch, and it involves more than 16,000 communities from across the country and its territories. In all, more than 36.7 million people are expected to participate, according to a news release.
The Grover Beach informational fair will have booths set up for home security, the Grover Beach Police Department Community Partnership Program, fire prevention and child safety information. Police and fire equipment from the Grover Beach Police Department and the Five Cities Fire Authority will also be on display.
