A grass fire broke out on Oso Flaco Lake Road just east of Highway 1 Monday afternoon, burning about five acres.
A Cal Fire spokesman said the fire was first reported at 3:17 p.m. and has since spread at a “moderate to rapid” rate due to wind.

As of 4:15 p.m., seven Cal Fire engines were at the scene, as well as two air tankers, a helicopter, a bulldozer and two hand crews to clear brush. Four more fire engines were en route.
No structures are currently threatened, and no injuries have been reported.
