Kenneth Ray Daugherty, an 80-year-old San Luis Obispo man who went missing Thursday afternoon, was located in Oakland on Saturday morning.

Daugherty checked into a hospital to receive treatment for non-life threatening medical reasons, according to a San Luis Obispo Police Department news release.

Hospital staff realized Daugherty was missing from San Luis Obispo and notified authorities.

San Luis Obispo police are asking the public to help them locate an 80-year-old man who’s been missing since Thursday afternoon.

Kenneth Ray Daugherty of San Luis Obispo was last seen about 4 p.m. Thursday at his home on the 1400 block of Laurel Lane, according to a news release from the San Luis Obispo Police Department.

Daugherty is white, with gray hair and hazel eyes, and he suffers from a medical condition, the news release stated.

He is 5 feet, 10 inches tall and weights about 175 pounds. He doesn’t have a car, and his cellphone was left at his home, according to the news release.
