Multiple vehicles burned in fire at Arroyo Grande junkyard

Update, 7:50 p.m.:

A junkyard fire burned two vehicles at Timo’s Auto Wrecking before it was quickly put out, Cal Fire said Sunday evening.

Cal Fire had initially received the report of the fire about 5:30 p.m., and crews put out the blaze about 20 minutes later, according to Capt. David Kay.

The fire engulfed two vehicles in the junkyard but did not spread any further. No injuries were reported.

Officials are still investigating the cause of the fire, Kay said. Anyone who has information regarding the fire is asked to call Cal Fire at 805-543-4244.

Crews are responding to a fire that’s burning multiple vehicles at a junkyard at 880 Sheridan Road in Arroyo Grande, Cal Fire Capt. Nick Stitzel said.

Cal Fire received the initial report of the fire at 5:26 p.m.

Stitzel did not know the name of the junkyard. The business is listed online as Timo’s Auto Wrecking.
