Beginning Jan. 19, people wanting help with their returns can call the library at 237-3870 to set up Saturday appointments. Saturday appointments begin Feb. 6.
Also beginning Jan. 19, people can call the senior center at 237-3880 to make Tuesday appointments beginning Feb. 3 and Thursday appointments beginning Feb. 5 at the Veterans Memorial Building next to the senior center.
You do not need to be a senior to avail yourself of this service. IRS-certified volunteers provide free basic income tax return preparation to taxpayers assisting with various tax credits, including the earned-income tax credit, child tax credit and education credits.
