A festive crowd turned out Saturday for Atascadero's 42nd annual Colony Days to celebrate the city's founding as a colony in 1913.

The festivities kicked off once again with an early morning Lion’s Club pancake breakfast followed by the annual downtown parade. Tent City featured historical re-enactments, while vendor booths, food and live music filled the Sunken Gardens.

Not to be left out of the fun, dogs came in costumes and ready to compete in races during a Dogtoberfest.

The fun continues into the evening at an all-ages Tent City After Dark with food, drinks and bluegrass music.
