Drivers should expect traffic delays and no parking zones on California Boulevard and Johnson Avenue in San Luis Obispo while the city replaces water lines. Construction is scheduled to begin Monday.
The first phase to be replaced is on San Luis Drive from California Boulevard to Johnson Avenue, followed by Johnson Avenue to Lizzie Street, finishing with construction on California Boulevard from Mill Street to San Luis Drive.
Traffic in both directions will be affected by the lane closure. Delays should be expected Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. Amended work hours will be in effect while school is in session. Occasional night work will be scheduled for water main tie-ins. The project is expected to be completed by December, the city said in a news release.
