Fire near Cuesta Grade summit contained by CalFire crews

CalFire has contained a 1-acre vegetation fire on the west side of the Cuesta Grade summit off of TV Tower Road, a spokesman confirmed.

The fire was reported at 11:12 a.m. Sunday and contained by 12:15 p.m.

Seven engines, two hand crews, one bulldozer, one water tanker, two air tankers and one helicopter were deployed to quickly contain the fire, the CalFire spokesman said.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation, and no injuries were reported.
