Two local transit agencies have launched a survey seeking feedback on bus services in San Luis Obispo County.

The San Luis Obispo Regional Transit Authority and San Luis Obispo Transit are gathering information as part of an effort to improve the local transit system and provide direction for the agencies in planning for growth over the next five to seven years, according to a news release.

The agencies are seeking input from riders and nonriders of the local transit systems.

“This survey will help us find out what riders and nonriders want to help make our transit systems as useful as possible,” RTA Executive Director Geoff Straw said in the news release.

He said that RTA provides about 1 million trips a year, and SLO Transit transports more than 1.1 million riders annually.
