Local radio and television stations will air a test of the tsunami warning communications systems Wednesday morning, the San Luis Obispo County Office of Emergency Services announced Tuesday.
The test is scheduled to occur at approximately 10:15 a.m.
Reverse 911 systems for telephone landlines and Wireless Emergency Alerts for cell phones will not be tested.
The agency said the public is welcome to provide feedback online regarding the test at http://weather.gov/test.
The test is conducted by the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration and the California Office of Emergency Services to coincide with Tsunami Preparedness Week, which began March 22 and continues through March 28.
