A sheriff’s town hall meeting for residents of San Miguel and the surrounding area will be held on Monday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Mission San Miguel Parish Hall behind the Mission.
This is one in a series of local meetings in the unincorporated areas of the county and a chance to bring your concerns directly to Sheriff Ian Parkinson and his deputies. Supervisor Frank Mecham and District Attorney Dan Dow are also expected to attend.
The San Miguel Advisory Council will meet on Wednesday at 7 p.m. at the Community Building behind the library in the park on K Street.
This group is a liaison to the county Board of Supervisors and the planning department concerning land use and other issues in our area. Reports are given to the public from law enforcement (Sheriff’s Office and Highway Patrol), the council, the planning department and the community.
