School registration for the 2015-16 year is ongoing at both Lillian Larsen School and Almond Acres Charter Academy. Both schools are K-8 and are located on the campus at 1601 L St.

Lillian Larsen School is still accepting registrations for kindergarten and transitional kindergarten. Packets are available at the school office. Children who will have their fifth birthday between Sept. 2 and Dec. 2, 2015, may enroll in transitional kindergarten. Children whose fifth birthday falls between Dec. 3, 2015, and March 1, 2016, may apply for early entry on a space-available basis.

Classes are half days with some child care available in the afternoons.

The school is offering parent tours this month. For more information call 467-3216.

Almond Acres Charter Academy enrollment will be open through Sunday. Enrollment forms are available on its website, www.aacacademy.com. For more information call 467-2098.

Concert at Mission

The Symphony of the Vines will present a concert at Mission San Miguel on Sunday, March 22, at 3 p.m., featuring the music of J. S. Bach and sons, Carl Philip Emmanuel and Johann Christian Back.

J. S. Bach excelled in the baroque style of music, and both his sons were highly acclaimed composers in their own right.

The Symphony of the Vines is known for its inspired and beautiful style, and the acoustics in the mission church are unequaled in the area. Tickets are $30, $27, and $15, available online at http://symphonyofthevines.org and at the door.
