On Halloween night from 5 to 6:30, Lillian Larsen School and downtown merchants invite all to the “Trunk or Treat” party between 11th and 12th streets.

Decorate your favorite vehicle and come in costume with treats for the goblins and gremlins that abound. Cars will back into parking spaces and dispense candy from their open trunks.

At 6 p.m. vehicles will be judged for best decorations and theme to win one of five $20 gift certificates. For more information, call the school at 805-467-3216, ext. 201.

Plan Christmas parade

Tuesday morning at 10 a.m., the Christmas Parade Committee will meet at the Coffee Station.
