Woman reported missing from downtown SLO found safe

Update: Madeleine Bray was found unharmed this morning in San Luis Obispo and has been reunited with family, according to police.

Original story: A 19-year-old woman has been reported missing after becoming separated from her group in downtown San Luis Obispo late Saturday night.

Madeline "Maddy" Bray was in town for a bachelorette party, San Luis Obispo police said in a news release. She was last seen in the 600 block of Higuera Street just before midnight.

Bray's cell phone was found on a bench and returned to her friends, police said, which is when they tried to find her. She was reported missing to police at 2 a.m. Sunday.

Bray is a white female, 5 feet 9 inches tall, 135 pounds with brown eyes and long, straight brown hair. She was last seen wearing blue jeans, wedge shoes and a black spaghetti-strap bluse.

Anyone with information is asked to call police immediately.
