SLO jail inmates quilt for a cause

The San Luis Obispo County Sheriff’s Women’s Honor Farm, in collaboration with Restorative Partners, will present 50 quilts and afghans made by the inmates to Bella Vista Transitional Care on Tuesday.

“We have women who have never sewn before creating beautiful quilts,” Sister Theresa Harpin, director of Restorative Partners, said in a news release. “They are amazing, so colorful and each one as different as the women of the San Luis Obispo County (Honor) Farm themselves. I know the residents at Bella Vista are going to love them. This is restorative justice work in action.”
