The North County Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) will hold a four-session disaster preparedness training course for the public, beginning Wednesday in Paso Robles.
The classroom courses will be held Wednesdays at 6 p.m., followed by a hands-on emergency drill on Saturday, Oct. 25. All classes will be held at the Paso Robles Public Safety Center, 900 Park St.
Cost is $50 and includes class materials, emergency tools and a student manual.

The North County CERT program is a joint effort of local fire agencies and the San Luis Obispo County Sheriff's Office. Similar training programs have been held throughout the county. The training is designed to prepare everyday citizens to learn how to respond to disasters anywhere in the area.
