The Los Osos Community Services District has adopted a set of mandatory water conservation measures for its customers.
The district — which serves about 2,750 customers — adopted the measures at the district’s Aug. 7 meeting. They were implemented Monday.
The conditions are as follows:
- Use of potable water for irrigating lawns and other plantings should be limited to 15 minutes or less.
- Irrigation should only occur during dark or nighttime hours.
- Even-numbered addresses should only irrigate on Wednesdays or Sundays; odd-numbered addresses should irrigate only on Tuesdays and Saturdays.
- Community recreation facilities are exempt.
