Someone shot a small projectile, possibly using a BB gun, through the front window of San Luis Obispo County Supervisor Caren Ray’s Arroyo Grande home on Sunday evening.
Ray said she noticed the hole after she returned home from dinner Sunday about 8 p.m.
She filed a report with the Arroyo Grande Police Department on Monday.
According to Ray, the officer who responded to the scene told her the hole appeared to be caused by a high-powered BB gun because the shot went clean through the window and didn't shatter it.

“They had to have been standing in my front yard,” Ray said.
The supervisor asked her address not be disclosed out of safety concerns.
Ray did not know what time the incident happened, but she said she had been home all day except for about two hours that evening. She left her house following a campaign meeting about 6 p.m.
Ray recently faced a contentious primary election and heads to a runoff election for her seat in November against challenger Lynn Compton of Nipomo.
The supervisor said she didn't know if the incident was campaign-related.
