A community workshop to discuss the future upgrade of San Luis Obispo’s Water Resource Recovery Facility and surrounding property on Prado Road will be held Wednesday from 6:30 to 9 p.m. at the Ludwick Community Center, 864 Santa Rosa Road.
Topics will include preferred public features and amenities on the property and the architectural style of the planned upgrade. The city is spending $9.5 million on the upgrade to make the San Luis Obispo wastewater treatment plant more energy efficient and ultimately reduce its carbon footprint. The plant on Prado Road treats 1.7 billion gallons of sewage from the city.
