Seven Sisters Fest — with music, camping and beer — set for July

Seven Sisters Fest will return to the Central Coast for a second year of camping, craft beer and eclectic music.

The festival, which will take place July 11 through 13 at El Chorro Regional Park and Campground just north of San Luis Obispo, is expanding to three days this year to accommodate demand, according to co-founder Sarah Mason.

“We're looking to double our numbers from last year,” said Mason, adding that the event attracted about 1,000 people in 2013. She declined to share any information about ticket sales.

This year’s Seven Sister Fest will feature more than 40 craft breweries and wineries, as well as performances by about a dozen bands, including local favorites the Damon Castillo Band and the Zongo All-Stars. Also included are onsite camping, children’s activities, guided hikes, yoga and educational tours and workshops.

Single-day passes for Seven Sisters Fest cost $28 to $70, while three-day weekend passes are $45 to $119.

Proceeds from this year’s festival benefit two local nonprofits: Woods Humane Society and the Infinite Music Foundation.
