A new online resource for victims of domestic and sexual abuse in San Luis Obispo County is available thanks to the local nonprofit RISE.
RISE was formed a year ago with the merger of two organizations: the North County Women’s Shelter & Resource Center and the Sexual Assault Recovery & Prevention Center.
The RISEslo.org website debuted Jan. 21, with a Spanish-language version to be released in February. The website is a one-stop resource for the services that RISE provides, such as resources for shelter, counseling, crisis services, information on how to help others, and prevention education services.
The site provides links to the organization’s 24-hour crisis hotline, restraining order assistance, accompaniment and advocacy.
Visitors will also find a calendar for upcoming RISE events, and a tab to allow supporters to donate to the organization.
Visit RISEslo.org or call the organization’s business line at 226-5400 for more information.
