The Morro Bay Lighted Boat Parade is scheduled to brighten the Embarcadero this weekend.
After being postponed a week because of high winds and freezing temperatures, the holiday parade is set to start at 6:30 p.m. Saturday.
The parade of more than 20 decorated boats will tour the downtown waterfront while two announcers describe each one and point out highlights to the crowd. The announcers will be at Dutchman’s Seafood House, 701 Embarcadero, and at the South T-Pier.
White Caps Community Band will play holiday music, starting at 6 p.m.

The boat owners spend weeks decorating their vessels with light displays, some with animation and music, and all vying to outdo each other as best-decorated boat in various prize categories.
Coffee, hot chocolate and treats will be available, as well as Lighted Boat Parade T-shirts and sweatshirts for sale.
The event is sponsored by the Morro Bay Rotary Club.
