A 28-year-old man was arrested early Wednesday morning in Morro Bay in connection with car burglaries that left six vehicles ransacked, Morro Bay Police Cmdr. Bryan Millard said.
Ryan Patrick Macintyre, a resident of Los Osos, was arrested on suspicion of three felonies including two counts of possession of stolen property and one count of possession of a controlled substance,
Macintyre was spotted by witnesses around 3:33 a.m. rummaging through cars on the 3000 block of Tide Avenue. Information from witnesses led officers to find Macintyre who was attempting to hide.
Macintyre was found in possession of identification materials, such as driver’s licenses, amongst other items from the theft and a prescription narcotic, Millard said.
The Morro Bay Police department is still investigating the burglary. The suspect was booked into the county jail at 7:30 a.m.
