The Charles Paddock Zoo is hosting a Flamingo Party on Thursday night in a fundraiser that celebrates the zoo’s new flamingo exhibit.
Tickets to the after-hours event are $22, and the price of admission includes music, wine and appetizers. While the new flamingo exhibit was sponsored by two donations — $10,000 from the Atascadero Wine Festival and $10,000 from a private citizen — the fundraiser will pay for additional zoo improvements and animal care.
The adults-only Flamingo Party takes place between 5:30 and 7:30.
The grand opening for the new flamingo exhibit is Saturday.
