A Lompoc company this week secured a $129,000 contract with Atascadero to clean the city’s sewer system in phases over the next four years.
Mainline Utility Co. was the lowest of five bids for the job, which is broken up to $32,500 per year.
The project is funded by the city’s 2011 to 2013 wastewater budget.
To date, the sewer has approximately 300,000 linear feet of mains, according to the city.
