The public will get a look into the future of the Morro Bay Library when plans for its major remodeling campaign are unveiled during an open house from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday.
Visitors will tour the library and see changes that will create more usable space and a more open, friendly atmosphere. The redesign will also allow for the addition of new technology.
Architect Shana Reiss, who developed the redesign plan, will be on hand to explain how the improvements will create a more efficient and more welcoming environment. There will be food and entertainment and an array of unique raffle items for adults.
Each of the first 100 children to visit the open house will receive a free book. The Morro Bay Friends of the Library is leading a fundraising campaign, which is well past halfway in reaching its $500,000 goal for the project.
