Dozens of services and support groups serving young children from across San Luis Obispo County will be available to families during a children’s resource fair March 6 at Laguna Middle School in San Luis Obispo.
Organizers have scheduled the event from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m., hoping the timing will make it easier for working parents to attend.
Representatives of more than 30 agencies will provide information, advice and resources covering issues such as medical, dental, counseling, clothing, food, safety and parenting.
Organizers will provide goodie kits, healthy snacks, children’s activities and giveaways.

The fair is “a great way for us to educate and empower our families on all of the services available to them in the care and upbringing of young children,” said Lisa Fraser, executive director of the San Luis Obispo Child Abuse Prevention Council.
“We invite everyone to come out and learn first-hand our local communities’ commitment to little ones, plus, walk away with some valuable tools for parenting,” Fraser said.
