19-year-old woman killed in Paso Robles car crash is identified

UPDATE 11:25 a.m. Thursday: The woman killed in Wednesday's crash has been identified as Morganne Cortes, 19, of Paso Robles, according to the San Luis Obispo County Sheriff's Office. The coroner is conducting an autopsy to determine the manner and cause of death. The Paso Robles Police Department is investigating the accident.

UPDATE 2:47 p.m.: Paso Robles police have identified four people injured in the three-vehicle wreck Wednesday morning:

 Samuel Hernandez, 28, of Paso Robles

Maximo Hernandez, 30, of Paso Robles

Justin Delphenich, 30, of Paso Robles

Victoria Gonzales, 19, of Oceano

The identity of the deceased female passenger is being withheld pending notification of relatives.

Samuel Hernandez, Delphenich and Gonzales were all drivers, Paso Robles police said.

Gonzales was treated at Twin Cities Community Hospital and released. "All of the other parties were transported via ambulance to Sierra Vista Regional Medical Center with moderate to severe injuries," said Lt. Tim Murphy in a news release. "None of these injuries appears to be life-threatening."

There was no further information about the vehicles involved or where they were headed.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.

Original story: A traffic collision in Paso Robles on Wednesday morning has left one person dead and three injured.

Paso Robles police and emergency services personnel responded to an accident at Highway 46 East and Golden Hill Road at 9 a.m., according to a news release from the city.

Three vehicles were reportedly involved in the accident.

Three people were taken to local hospitals, according to police, and a fourth person was pronounced dead at the scene.

An investigation into the cause of the collision is ongoing, and no names are being released at this time.
