UPDATE: 11:05 p.m. Friday: The 81-year-old Nipomo man reported missing Thursday was found Friday in the Malibu area and reunited with his family, according to a news release from the San Luis Obispo County Sheriff’s Office.
Harold Slagle was found with the help of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Office and the “keen observations of a passer-by,” the news release said.
No further information was provided.

At 7:45 p.m. Harold Slagle’s wife called the Sheriff’s Office and reported that her husband had taken his suitcase, got into his 1998 red Dodge Dakota and driven away.
The couple had recently relocated to the Central Coast from West Covina. They were living in Nipomo while their home was being completed in Paso Robles.
Slagle’s credit card has been used twice in Santa Barbara County on Thanksgiving. On Friday, it was used again in San Gabriel.
Slagle is a white man, 5 feet 10 inches tall, 145 pounds, with white hair and brown eyes and has a mustache.
