Traffic slowed on northbound Hwy. 101 in SLO after fire crews respond to broken-down truck

UPDATE: The semi-truck was not on fire, but was waiting for a mechanic to arrive, according to the CHP website.

Fire trucks at the scene were causing traffic to slow in the area.

ORIGINAL STORY: Fire crews are responding to a report of a semi-truck's trailer on fire on northbound Highway 101 near the South Higuera Street offramp in San Luis.

Smoke was seen coming from the rear of the trailer near the tires, according to the California Highway Patrol website.
