UPDATE: The vehicle is no longer on fire, but emergency dispatches say that the roadway could be closed for at least two additional hours. Initial dispatches show that no people were injured in the fire.
ORIGINAL: A vehicle is on fire approximately one mile north of Ragged Point on Highway 1, according to emergency dispatches.
The vehicle is fully involved, and has set fire to vegetation. Details on the CHP Traffic Incident Information Page website say the vehicle may be blocking the entire road.
There may be small arms inside the vehicle because a dispatch said that bullets were exploding as the car burned.
