San Miguel Scene: Town Clean-Up Day is Saturday

Saturday is the regular Volunteer Firemen Town Clean-up Day. They’ll accept items for the dumpster at the Fire Department from 8 a.m. until it’s full.

Monetary donations are greatly appreciated and help pay disposal fees. Also, it is aday to weed and beautify downtown landscaping areas not yet adopted. If you want to help, bring your own tools and meet on the west side of 14th Street at 8 a.m.

Mike Saunders is taking names and dates for the annual Lions Club Calendar. Call him to list birthdays, anniversaries and meetings at 712-9120 or stop by the San Miguel Mercantile. The Lions do good works with the proceeds.
