A stretch of Orcutt Road will be closed to motorists on Thursday, Aug. 2 so workers can replace a drainage culvert.
The closure will occur from 9 a.m. and last until 3 p.m., according to a county Public Works Department news release. The road will be closed just north of where Righetti Road intersects with Orcutt.
Motorists can get around the closure by taking Biddle Ranch Road to Broad Street (Highway 227). The detour will add between five and 10 minutes to the commute.
The culvert replacement is being done in advance of a surface treatment planned for Orcutt Road.
