A man found dead on the railroad tracks in Paso Robles July 16 was not killed by a passing train, according to the results of an autopsy by the San Luis Obispo County Sheriff's Office.
James Steven Dahlgren, 59, of Paso Robles died from blunt force trauma injuries, according to the Coroner's Unit.
"Dahlgren sustained fatal injuries due to a fall from a bridge. The investigation revealed he was not struck by a train," said a press release from the Sheriff's Office.
The Paso Robles Police Department is conducting its own investigation.
