There will be a concert at Mission San Miguel featuring lute players Bo Pearsall and Ron Chinn at 3 p.m. Sunday. The concert is free, though donations to the mission are welcomed.
Pearsall has lived in the area for several years, and Chinn comes from the Bay Area. Both are accomplished masters of the lute.
For patrons and friends of San Miguel Library, there is a petition at the Country Diner to restore Librarian Judy to our library.
There have been several changes, and a new librarian has not been appointed. Rather, there is an assortment of librarians filling in. These changes have made a lot of people very concerned about the future of the San Miguel Library.

There are still a few flowerbeds downtown that need someone to take care of them.
Water is provided by the community services district, but there is no budget for a gardener. If you have a green thumb and would like to help keep downtown beautiful, you’re invited to adopt a plot. Call Mike Sanders at 712-9120, Laverne Buckman at 467-3467 or email 2011SMRC@gmail.com.
