San Luis Obispo County registered voters who want to run for city councils or school, community services district or special district boards in November can pick up their papers starting Monday, when the nomination window opens.
Of the county’s seven cities, only Morro Bay has already held its election, which it conducted in June.
Filing will open in the others: Atascadero, Paso Robles, San Luis Obispo, Grover Beach, Pismo Beach and Arroyo Grande.
Candidates for city office must file with their respective city clerks.

Numerous special and community services districts, as well as school boards, have elected boards with openings. For a complete list, go to www.slovote.com.
The candidates’ manual, which provides qualifications for office, important dates and other information, is available at that site, according to County Clerk-Recorder Julie Rodewald.
Rodewald said it takes 30 minutes to review and process the initial papers, and she encouraged wouldbe candidates to make an appointment with her office by calling 781-5080.
The filing period for all remaining counties ends Aug. 10, she said.
