North County residents can expect temperatures in the low 100s through Thursday, according to local meteorologist John Lindsey of PG&E.
But San Luis Obispo and other coastal valleys will be considerably cooler, with temperatures in the mid- to high 70s, he said.
Northwesterly facing beaches such as Montaña de Oro, Los Osos and Morro Bay will range from the high 50s to low 60s, while southwesterly facing beaches such as Cayucos and Avila Beach will range from the high 60s to the low 70s, Lindsey said.
Residents can expect cooler weather to push into the North County on Friday, he added.
