Organizers say their “Girls Night Out” event May 18 raised $15,000 for the Court Appointed Special Advocates for Children (CASA).
The money raised will go toward recruiting, training and supervising volunteers who advocate for abused and neglected children in San Luis Obispo County.
“Girls Night Out” was presented by Meathead Movers and the San Luis Obispo Country Club. It featured food, drinks and dancing.
Each attendee was greeted by a tuxedoed member of the Meathead Movers of San Luis Obispo staff bearing champagne and a longstemmed red rose. CASA Event Coordinator Alissa Maddren said the event “has become so popular — there’s no better dance party in town.”
